Neil is a senior solicitor and legal educator. As a lawyer, Neil has his own Sydney CBD practice specialising in advising and defending lawyers and other professionals facing complaints and disciplinary matters. Prior to this Neil founded the Ethics Department at the Qld Law Society and served as its senior ethics lawyer. He helped draft the Australian Solicitors’ Conduct Rules now adopted in all Australian jurisdictions except the Northern Territory. As an educator Neil has taught legal ethics and other subjects at a number of Law Schools around Australia; he consults widely to law firms around the country and provides training in professional standards and professional discipline.
